Look for styles that are timeless and made responsibly with eco-friendly materials. One fabric to be on the lookout for is TENCEL, a wood fibre that’s a more sustainable alternative to viscose.

TENCEL is a soft fibre made from sustainably harvested wood. We use fast-growing trees (either eucalyptus or spruce) grown in responsibly managed forests. In addition to helping preserve ancient forests, rainforest and ancient woodland, sustainable forestry also supports local habitat and promotes biodiversity. TENCEL produces this fibre in what’s called a closed-loop production, reusing process water and solvent to reduce environmental impact.

Not only is TENCEL a more sustainable alternative to viscose, you’ll also find that it’s super soft, breathable, moisture absorbent and lightweight. We’re using TENCEL in a range of Levi’s styles, including our new loose fits the Loose Straight and High Loose.
