LEVI’S® x KIKO KOSTADINOV

Following the success of their inaugural collaboration, the Levi’s® brand and London-based designer Kiko Kostadinov return with a second men’s collection—a five-piece exploration of formality, function and the art of modern workwear. Inspired by the role of denim within artistic communities, the collection reflects on how creative expression transforms everyday garments into symbols of culture, craft and rebellion.

The standout Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov Articulate Jacket returns in lightweight 10 oz. mid-blue indigo denim with an authentic heritage finish. Updated pocket designs and single needle topstitching honor classic Trucker construction, while a left-on L tab at the elbow and subtle pleat detailing toward the cuffs introduce Kostadinov’s signature technical precision. The result is a contemporary study in form and fit—where craftsmanship meets quiet innovation.

Paired with the matching Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov Articulate Jeans, the jacket anchors the collection in authentic denim heritage. Sharing the same mid-blue indigo fabric, the jeans feature updated knee details, single needle topstitching and wider belt loops. A straight, loose fit and special back yoke detailing create a modern interpretation of classic American workwear—designed to move effortlessly between utility and artistry.

Bridging formal and casual codes, the Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov Andy Pattern Shirt features a lightweight gray-and-white windowpane weave with exposed shell buttons, welted chest pocket and tonal topstitching at the back yoke. The clean silhouette offers a sophisticated foundation that transitions seamlessly from studio to society.

The collection’s most formal expression comes through the Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov Andy Suit Jacket and Andy Suit Trouser. Crafted from black polyester twill with satin detailing, the suit revisits mid-century tailoring through Kostadinov’s lens of technical refinement. The blazer’s concealed buttons, pleated front and precise darts create structure and movement, while the matching trousers feature raw-edge satin accents, slanted pockets and a wide belt loop design—a nod to Sta-Prest® innovation first introduced by Levi’s® in the 1960s.

The second Levi’s® x Kiko Kostadinov men’s collection continues the exploration of how formality and rebellion can coexist—transforming denim’s utilitarian roots into a new uniform of artistic expression and modern masculinity.

Launching worldwide on November 11, the collection will be available on Levi.co.za

Levi’s® X Barbour

We’re celebrating our shared heritage in a collection that reimagines our original methods of making. To pay tribute to this generational partnership, we’re highlighting modern makers that are crafting their own legacies.

Born from a need for both form and function, Levi Strauss and John Barbour each created garments uniquely suited for demanding work environments. Whether built to endure the rigors of the California gold mines or to shield fishermen from the harsh seas of Northeast England, their design ingenuity has since become a symbol of craftsmanship, durability, and timeless style. For this Levi’s® x Barbour collaboration, the two icons of workwear tradition unite to redefine what heritage means today.

DENIM CARE 101: HOW TO MAKE YOUR LEVI’S® JEANS LAST

We love denim every wash, every fit, every fade. Whether it’s a fresh pair of 501® Originals or
your go-to skinnies, the right care routine keeps your jeans looking and feeling better for longer.Washing your denim isn’t complicated, but it is something worth doing right. Too much washing, too hot, the wrong detergent these little things can add up over time, fading colour, breaking down fibres, and shrinking shape.

No. 1
ONLY WASH WHEN YOU MUST

Reserve full washes for when your jeans are visibly soiled or have lost their original fit. In between, spot-clean by gently dabbing with a mild detergent and damp cloth. It preserves fabric, extends wear, and keeps your denim looking new.

No.2
GENTLE WASHING

Opt for your machine’s gentle or delicate cycle to minimize abrasion—and if you can, handwash instead. This reduces stress on fibers, preserves color and shape, and helps even your premium denim last significantly longer.

No. 3
AIR DRY

Avoid the tumble dryer—its heat and tumbling friction quickly wear down fibers and fade color. Instead, air-dry your jeans flat or hang them up (out of direct sunlight) to keep them lint-free, vibrant, and long-lasting

HOW DO YOU WASH JEANS FOR THE FIRST TIME ?

When washing just-ripped-the-tag-off new jeans, especially dark-wash denim, keep them completely separate from your other wash loads (for the first few) to avoid dye transfer. Turn them inside out and choose a cold, gentle wash—either by hand or on a delicate machine setting—with a mild detergent. Finally, skip the dryer: reshape and air-dry your jeans away from direct sunlight to prevent shrinkage and preserve their rich color.

HOW TO WASH JEANS PROPERLY?

Whether you’re new to denim scene or a die-hard fan, here’s your 6-step cheat sheet to keeping your jeans looking their best.

Tip No. 1 – Turn Inside Out & Secure Closures

When you finally do need to throw your jeans in the washer, here’s the best way to prep them. First, always make sure to turn your jeans inside out. This simple (but usually neglected) step protects the outer color from fading and minimizes direct contact with chemicals and detergents and zip or button all closures to protect the outer surface and prevent snags.

Tip No. 2 – Cold Water & Gentle Cycle
Always use cold water on a delicate or gentle setting (or handwash) to minimize shrinkage, fading, and fabric stress.

Tip No. 3 – Use Mild Detergent & Skip Softeners
Machine-washing denim—especially colored and dark washes—demands extra care. Regular detergents can strip black and dark jeans of their rich hues, so opt for a mild, color-safe formula designed to protect darker fabrics. Our 150+ years of experience confirms it makes all the difference.

Tip No. 4 – Don’t Overload the Washer
Give your jeans room to move freely. Overcrowding creates excessive friction and accelerates wear.

Tip No. 5 – Skip The dryer
One of the quickest ways to ruin your jeans?
The tumble dryer. Heat and friction inside the drum wear down fibres and fade colour fast. Instead, air dry your jeans flat or on a hanger ideally out of direct sunlight. Less lint, less fade, more wear.

Tip No. 6 – Wash less. Wear more
It’s worth repeating, washing less is better. Each wash takes a little life out of your denim. Stretch out the time between washes by treating stains, steaming instead of washing, or airing them out. When you do wash, do it with care.

HOW TO DRY JEANS PROPERLY?

Now that we’ve gotten the washing out of the way, let’s talk about how you should dry your denim. (This part’s just as important!) All you have to remember are these two words: AIR. DRY. Using the dryer can damage denim, as well as shrink it. Air drying helps preserve the fit, color and fabric.

First, hang your jeans inside out to protect the outer surface from dust and potential fading from indirect sunlight. (And again, choose the shadiest area possible.) Another great option for air drying is to use a drying rack, which allows air to circulate around the jeans and speeds up the drying process. Our last tip for drying jeans is to avoid humid areas, since humidity keeps moisture in and can lead to musty odors—and nobody wants that.

TREAT YOUR DENIM RIGHT IT’LL TREAT YOU RIGHT BACK.

Following these tips won’t just keep your jeans looking great they’ll feel better too. Break them in. Make them yours. Buy Now. Wear Longer!

The Levi’s® x sacai collection features three women’s standout pieces. The Levi’s® x sacai Denim Jacket presents a masterful fusion of Levi’s® Type Il and Type Ill designs on the front with a Type I-inspired back featuring the classic cinch. Available in both indigo and blue, the jacket boasts a boxy, slightly A-line silhouette with meticulous interior details, including bound seams and gussets that maintain its sculptural shape. This collection also introduces a sophisticated Levi’s® x sacai Denim x Matelasse Twill Jacket featuring sacai’s proprietary matelasse twill with jacket detailing on the interior as well as a statement Levi’s® x sacai Jumpsuit with a bib-style top, camisole straps, and wide flare legs that combine 5-pocket detailing with lightweight denim paneling for elegant drape.

The men’s offerings continue the hybrid aesthetic with a more streamlined approach. Mirroring the women’s conceptual fusion but with a more simplified silhouette, the Levi’s® x sacai Denim Jacket features the same custom sunspot gold shanks based on vintage Levi’s® hardware. The Denim x Matelasse Twill Reversible Blouson represents the collection’s versatile spirit – a tailored exterior that reverses to reveal jacket detailing, complete with exposed selvedge along the placket, premium gray felt under the collar, and sacai’s distinctive anchor buttons.

Two variations of the Reversible Blouson – available in indigo x black or blue x khaki nylon exteriors – feature sacai’s proprietary materials and unique details, including sleeve pockets and specialized zippers. Each blouson reverses to reveal a Type Il Jacket detailed with center front pleats and chest pockets, finished with sacai ribbing at the cuffs and hem.

Adding welt pockets atop the traditional back pockets, the jeans come with a co-branded reversible belt with denim on one side and grosgrain on the other.

The collection’s accompanying campaign draws inspiration from James Dean’s iconic spirit of curiosity, honesty, freedom, and innocent naivety. Featuring actress and model Chase Sui Wonders, alongside model Chandler Frye, these timeless qualities serve as the creative foundation for Chitose Abe’s signature re-mixing approach throughout the collection. The imagery, shot by acclaimed photographer Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templer, captures the rebellious yet refined essence of both brands’ DNA.

The Levi’s® x sacai collection will be available from May 28th on Levi.co.za, the Levi’s® V&A Waterfront and Sandton stores.

Levi’s ® x Denim Tears Season 4

Levi’s ® and Denim Tears return for a fourth season to continue to honor the history and heritage on the Black American experience. Shot in New Orleans with members of the young Seminole Hunters, the latest collection authentically reflects the deep cultural connection between these garments and the community they honor.

The fourth season of Levi’s ® x Denim Tears introduces eight new pieces, paying homage to the rich cultural tapestry of New Orleans and the Black Masking Indian tradition. This collection celebrates the artistry, resilience, and community spirit of the Young Seminole Hunters and the esteemed Big Chief Demond Melacon, blending heritage and contemporary streetwear into
thoughtfully crafted designs.

The Photo Trucker and Photo Jeans feature photo-printed garments capturing the Young Seminole Hunters in their ceremonial regalia. Immortalizing the vibrant craftsmanship and cultural significance of this tradition. Each Photo-printed piece undergoes an intentional imperfection process during printing, ensuring that no two items are exactly alike – much like the handcrafted nature of Mardi Gras Indian costumes themselves. The Photo Trucker jacket features a relaxed, slightly cropped silhouette based on the iconic Type III design while the accompanying Photo Jeans get their fit profile from the 568 Stay Loose jeans.

Drawing further inspiration from the New Orleans heritage, the Track Jacket and Track Pants feature mid-indigo wash with dark wash color-blocking, adorned with cotton fleur de lis prints – a symbol deeply connected to the city’s French roots. Gold rope-like piping evokes the ornate detailing of marching band uniforms, another significant element of New Orleans cultural
expression.

The Crewneck Sweatshirt continues the collection’s thematic exploration with a washed black base featuring the same cotton fleur de lis artwork. Meanwhile, the Baseball Tee combines floral gingham print with dark green 3-quarter sleeves, evoking Southern tablecloth patterns that symbolize family gatherings and communal celebration. Completing the collection are two accessories: a mid-indigo Durag with all-over cotton flower print and a photo-printed hat featuring the same intentional imperfection technique used throughout the collection.

The collection launches worldwide on April 4th, 2025 and will be Levi.co.za, at our V&A Waterfront and Sandton stores, Shelflife.co.za, and Denimtears.com.

A pioneer of luxury streetwear, the Tokyo-based label mixes finely crafted materials with high-concept elegance and raw-edged rebellion to create a totally unique aesthetic embodying the essence of Japanese cool. The new collaborative range features 9 thoughtfully designed pieces reflecting a shared commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and versatility.

The Pinnacle Type II Trucker Jackets feature detachable zip detailing on the sleeves, collar, and side seams, allowing wearers to mix and match components for a customizable look, referencing UNDERCOVER’s “Exchange” program from their AW1998 collection. The jackets are crafted from indigo selvedge denim and black corduroy respectively, finished with a co-branded jacron patch and ‘Small Parts’ neck label as a nod to UNDERCOVER’s original concept.

The collection’s Type I Trucker Jacket is crafted from black & white 12 oz. denim with an embroidered ‘Giza’ pattern on the sleeves & bottom hem, referencing archival UNDERCOVER graphics from 2003. The Type III Trucker Jacket, delivered with similar construction, features a newly developed artwork inspired by the interconnected concept of yin-yang, adorned with a dual chest embroidery of ‘light’ and ‘darkness’ on the front, plus a mix of screen-printed and embroidered graphics on the back.

The collection includes two pairs of denim – a 501 ® Jean and Baggy Jean – which mirror the composition, wash, and design details of the Trucker Jackets. The 501 ® Jean retains its classic silhouette with an embroidered ‘Giza’ pattern down the side seams and co-branded back patch to match the Type I Trucker Jacket. The Baggy Jean offers a looser, relaxed fit and features a mix of screen-print & embroidery techniques to match the Type III Trucker Jacket.

Rounding off the range are three T-shirts depicting the same visual language, each developed from cotton jersey fabrics. The long-sleeve T-shirt is offered in white and completed with a printed ‘Giza’ pattern on the neck and sleeves. The short-sleeve T- shirts come in black and white and feature a combination of printed & embroidered graphic techniques.

The campaign features Flea, bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, photographed in his Malibu home by his daughter, Clara Balzary. Beloved for his simultaneously light and dark music, iconic personal style, and unfiltered creativity, Flea embodies the spirit of the collection.

The Levi’s ® x UNDERCOVER collection launches worldwide on January 18th and will be available for purchase on Levi.co.za and V&A Waterfront.
